Marietta, GA, is a delightful, family-friendly place to live with an abundance of great shopping, dining, entertainment, and wide open green spaces. If you’d like to stretch your legs in nature, there are many wonderful parks in Marietta to choose from. Here are a few of the best of them.

Terrell Mill Park

This large and leafy park at 480 Terrell Mill Road Southeast has many pleasant walking paths, roofed pavilions with barbecue grills, a superb playground with cleverly designed climbing frames, and fantastic sporting facilities. Here, you can play baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, softball, and more, with powerful lights that allow for games to continue after dark. The park also has plenty of well-kept public restrooms and many parking spaces with handicapped facilities.

Tumlin Park

This popular park has large, well-mowed lawns, ample gazebos, and large pavilions to keep you shaded while you picnic. The playgrounds here have jungle gyms, which are always fun for kids. And if you have younger children, the restrooms have changing tables and wall seats for toddlers.

It’s a dog-friendly park and when you visit, you’ll often be greeted by a peaceful scene of families and friends having fun and walking their dogs.  There are also great sporting facilities here. You’ll find Tumlin Park at 400 Chestnut Hill Road Southwest.

Glover Park

This beautiful downtown park is situated in the heart of Marietta featuring a beautiful fountain, colorful flowers, an ice skating rink during winter, and many neighboring coffee shops, bakeries, and other dining and shopping options. Because of its central location at 50 North Park Square, Glove Park is an ideal place to have a quick picnic or stroll on a busy day of shopping or exploring the city.

Bishop Park

Over in the southwest of Marietta, lies another wonderful local park with a lake where you can relax and feed the ducks. You can find great sporting facilities here, especially for baseball. There are several ball fields kept in wonderful condition with batting cages and even outdoor Wi-Fi for spectators to use.

Visit Bishop Park at Al Bishop Drive. Head there in your beautiful new 2023 Lincoln Nautilus. With an impressive 37.2 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, you can store all the sporting equipment you like, with space to spare.

Victory Park

This cute little park on the eastern side of town offers a pleasant walking trail alongside a babbling creek. In Victory Park, you can stroll under the leafy shading of 150-year-old trees, have a barbecue with friends and family under a sizable pavilion, or enjoy a good workout in the sunshine on some excellent outdoor exercise equipment. Find the park at 823 South Park Drive.
